TERMS OF SERVICE
(Newsletter Subscription Agreement)

By subscribing to, registering for, or otherwise accessing any newsletter, mailing list, publication, digital communication, or informational service operated by the Code Victorian Foundation, or any of its brands, projects, subsidiaries, or affiliated initiatives (collectively, the “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you (“you,” “the Subscriber,” or “the User”) expressly acknowledge, accept, and agree to be bound by the terms set forth below.
1. PURPOSE OF THE NEWSLETTER AND COMMUNICATIONS
The Company provides newsletters, email communications, and other digital messaging for informational, educational, commercial, promotional, editorial, and community-building purposes, which may include, but are not limited to:
• News, updates, and announcements
• Articles, essays, commentary, or opinion pieces
• Product or service information
• Promotional or marketing content
• Invitations to events, offerings, or programs
• Surveys, feedback requests, or research
• Community updates or initiatives
By subscribing, you acknowledge that the content of communications may evolve over time and is not limited to a single theme, topic, or format.
2. CONSENT TO RECEIVE ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS
By providing your email address and completing the subscription process, you expressly consent to receive electronic communications from the Company, including emails and other digital messages, at the address you provide.
This consent includes, without limitation:
• Periodic newsletters
• Transactional and non-transactional emails
• Informational messages
• Promotional or marketing communications
• Announcements regarding new services, products, platforms, or initiatives
You acknowledge that electronic communications are an essential part of the services provided and that opting out of such communications may limit or prevent access to certain features or information.
3. MULTI-PURPOSE USE OF EMAIL ADDRESS
3.1 Broad Email Usage Consent
By subscribing, you explicitly authorise the Company to use your email address for multiple lawful purposes, including but not limited to:

4. DATA COLLECTION AND PROCESSING
4.1 Information Collected
The Company may collect and process the following data:

4.2 Purpose of Processing

8. OPT-OUT AND UNSUBSCRIBE

Unsubscribing from one list may not automatically unsubscribe you from all communications, unless explicitly stated.
Processing of unsubscribe requests may take a reasonable period of time.
9. MODIFICATION OF TERMS AND COMMUNICATIONS
The Company reserves the right to:
• Update or modify these Terms at any time
• Change the nature, frequency, or scope of communications
• Introduce new newsletters, lists, or communication formats
Continued subscription after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. TERMINATION
The Company may suspend or terminate your subscription at any time, without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to misuse, abuse, or legal compliance.
11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Company shall not be liable for:
• Any damages arising from subscription or communication content
• Loss of data, revenue, or opportunity
• Errors, interruptions, or delays in delivery
12. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any disputes shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
